IPOH: The Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Ministry (KPDNKK) is only responsible for six essential goods, said its Consumerism Movements Division director Mohd Bakri Ibrahim.
He said these were sugar, cooking oil, wheat flour, cooking gas, petrol and diesel.
As such, he said the people should not blame the ministry over price hikes of goods that it was not responsible for.
He was speaking to reporters after closing a consumerism competition for schools here today.
A total of 216 students from 54 schools from around Perak took part in the competition which entered its sevent edition this year. — Bernama
