Dr Wan Azizah conveys condolences on passing of Sultan Ibrahim's mother

KUALA LUMPUR: Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail has conveyed her condolences to the Johor Royal family on the passing of Yang Amat Mulia Enche' Besar Hajah Khalsom Abdullah.
The late Hajah Kalsom was the mother of the Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim Almarhum Sultan Iskandar.
"Al-Fatihah. May Allah SWT bless her soul and place her among the souls of Islamic scholars (aulia), martyrs and religious persons (solihin)," she said in a statement.
Hajah Khalsom, 83, breathed her last at 7.55pm (London time), at the King Edward VII Hospital, London, yesterday.
Her remains will be laid to rest at the Bukit Mahmoodiah Royal Mausoleum, Johor Bahru at a date and time to be announced later. — Bernama
