Grammar school reject scores 162 in Mensa IQ Test

WHEN a top grammar school in the United Kingdom rejected an 11-year-old Filipina, her parents had her take the British Mensa IQ Test. It turned out that she has an IQ of 162, which is higher than Albert Einstein's 140, and Stephen Hawking, who scored 160.
Mia Golosino, 11, wanted to Aylesbury High grammar school, but the Milton Keynes school didn't give her a place due to "over-subscription".
Her migrant parents, who have been living in Wolverton, Milton Keynes for the last 10 years,let Mia take the British Mensa IQ Test with a plan in mind to appeal the decision.
"We had completely forgotten about the test until we got the results. We couldn't believe it when we found out. We were absolutely stunned," said Mia's mother, Mary, who is a full-time housewife.
Her father, Jose, an IT manager, said: "We were amazed to find she scored the highest possible mark of 162 – more than Albert Einstein. This puts her in the top one percent of the population with high IQ."
Since she was rejected by the Aylesbury High grammar school, Mia will attend the Royal Latin School in Buckingham which offered her a place.
