MAS to fly to Brisbane from June 6

PETALING JAYA: Malaysia Airlines (MAS) plans to restart its services to Brisbane from June 6 using an Airbus A330, said an airline source.
The source said MAS is looking at increasing its market share in Australia.
"The airline will continually look at new markets but for a start, it will try to return to markets that it is familiar with," the source said.
The source said the airline is taking small steps as it continues to expand the routes it serves.
"The airline has to be careful in choosing its routes, as there is a need to ensure that the route is profitable for the airline to operate," the source said.
MAS, a Oneworld member and de facto Qantas partner, axed its Brisbane flights in August 2015 as part of a wide-ranging series of cuts to its Australian schedule in an effort to slash costs.
