Two BMWs up for grabs at Damai Laut Golf Series

LUMUT: The fourth leg of the Damai Laut Golf Series 2017 was held at Damai Laut Golf & Country Club (DLGCC) with 73 golfers taking to the course on Sunday. Participants also included two women golfers and a 12-year-old junior player.
The main attraction of the tournament was the opportunity to win two BMW 118I M Sport for the Hole-In-One (Hole 7 and Hole 13). The thought of winning two BMW 118i M Sport for 2 Hole-In-One had the golfers in high spirits competing in the 18-hole award winning golf course which fronts the Straits of Malacca.
Apart from that, prizes up for grabs is a Set of Kamui Pro TP-301 courtesy of Nippon/Tech for the Hole in One prize (Hole no.17).
The tournament was decided by stroke play over 18-hole format and the game progressed smoothly with fine weather, culminating in a prize giving lunch at Green View overlooking the pristine golf course.
"Over the last four legs, we have received positive feedback from participants and it is becoming popular amongst the golfing community in Malaysia," said the resort's General Manager Patrick Tee.
"As the series has received favourable response from golfers, we are confident that the golfers will continue to include the Damai Laut Golf Series as part of their golfing calendar.
"This is evident in the increase of participants over the last four legs. We also have a group of golfers who have participated in all the legs, including signing up for the 5th leg and Grand Final. We are also pleased to increase the odds for making the Hole in One prize from one to two cars."
Nordin Yahya took the gross champion title with a gross score of 77, winning himself a Trophy, Sharp television set 50" model and a 3D/2N stay in a Junior Suite at Swiss-Garden Beach Resort Damai Laut.
The nett title went to Pauzi Othman who carded a nett score of 62 to win a Trophy, Sharp television set 40" model and a 3D/2N stay in a Deluxe Seaview at Swiss-Garden Beach Resort Damai Laut.
The winner of gross and nett of each leg will be playing in the Grand Final on Dec 3, 2017. Overall gross winner will stand a chance to win a Championship Trophy and a return ticket to Muscat, courtesy of Oman Air.
Sanctioned by the Malaysian Golf Association, the event partners for the Damai Laut Golf Series 2017 included Heineken, Crest Link, Srixon, Atria Shopping Gallery and VinGolf.

The entrance fee of RM300 includes goodies and a prize giving lunch, or RM350 for a one-night stay in a twin sharing room at the Swiss-Garden Beach Resort Damai Laut.
