Malaysia sedia sertai misi pengaman PBB termasuk ke Gaza

Malaysia sedia hantar batalion untuk misi pengaman PBB ke Gaza, bukti komitmen negara dalam keamanan global menurut Timbalan Menteri Pertahanan.

KUALA LUMPUR: Kesediaan Malaysia menyertai misi pengaman Pertubuhan Bangsa-Bangsa Bersatu termasuk ke Gaza membuktikan peranan aktif negara dalam memastikan keamanan global.

Timbalan Menteri Pertahanan Adly Zahari berkata Malaysia telah menyatakan pendirian tegas kepada Majlis Keselamatan PBB mengenai kesediaan menyediakan satu batalion pasukan pengaman.

“Keputusan ini tertakluk kepada pertimbangan PBB, namun Malaysia secara berterusan mempromosi dan menyokong usaha penubuhan pasukan pengaman tersebut,” katanya di Dewan Rakyat.

Beliau menjawab soalan tambahan Datuk Seri Ikmal Hisham Abdul Aziz mengenai kesediaan Malaysia menghantar pasukan pengaman ke Gaza.

Adly menekankan bahawa misi pengaman mendapat minat tinggi dalam kalangan anggota Angkatan Tentera Malaysia.

Kebanyakan anggota mempunyai keinginan dan semangat juang untuk berkhidmat di peringkat antarabangsa.

Kerajaan memberi keutamaan kepada aspek kebajikan anggota yang berkhidmat di luar negara termasuk isu kesihatan dan kebajikan keluarga.

Mengenai persediaan demobilisasi pasukan Batalion Malaysia 850-12 dari Lubnan, Adly menjelaskan tugasan akan diteruskan oleh MALBATT 850-13 mulai 15 November 2025.

Keseluruhan MALBATT 850 akan berundur secara berfasa dari 1 Januari 2027 hingga 31 Disember 2027.

Kementerian Pertahanan telah menubuhkan pasukan khas untuk menguruskan proses pengunduran dan penghantaran pulang aset serta anggota ATM.

“Penilaian terperinci sedang dilaksanakan untuk menentukan sama ada aset berkenaan wajar dibawa pulang atau dilupuskan mengikut prosedur,” jelas Adly.

Malaysia mempunyai 198 unit kenderaan perisai di Lubnan dengan cadangan UNIFIL untuk mengekalkan sebahagian aset kepada Angkatan Tentera Lubnan.

Aset strategik akan dibawa pulang ke tanah air manakala aset kesihatan mungkin bekerjasama dengan hospital tempatan di Lubnan untuk tujuan kemanusiaan. – Bernama
