Malaysia’s Arif Aiman is the only Asian in Sofascore’s global top dribblers list, ranking fourth with 224 successful dribbles in 35 matches.
KUALA LUMPUR: National winger Arif Aiman Mohd Hanapi has been ranked among the world’s most successful dribblers in top-division football.
According to data from football statistics platform Sofascore, the 23-year-old Johor Darul Ta’zim player is the only Asian to feature on the prestigious list.
Arif Aiman finished fourth overall with 224 successful dribbles from just 35 matches.
He outperformed Manchester City’s Jeremy Doku, who recorded 212 successful dribbles despite playing 17 more games.
The list was topped by Barcelona star Lamine Yamal with 307 successful dribbles from 61 matches.
He was followed by Brazil’s Guilherme Smith with 251 dribbles in 25 appearances and Honduras forward José Mario Pinto with 238 from 53 matches.
The achievement comes as Arif Aiman faces a three-month layoff after hamstring surgery performed by renowned sports doctor Lasse Lempaine.
