PETALING JAYA: CGC Digital, the fintech subsidiary of Credit Guarantee Corporation Malaysia Bhd (CGC), and Credit Bureau Malaysia (CBM), a licensed credit reporting agency, have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to help micro, small and medium enterprises understand their credit position and become financing-ready.
In this collaboration, CGC Digital and CBM will explore developing credit risk models and analytical solutions that deepen understanding of MSME needs and strengthen decision-making across the financing ecosystem besides also exploring joint education and outreach initiatives, using both organisations’ networks to reach a wider group of business owners and raise awareness of the financing and credit-information support available to them.
“Many MSMEs struggle not just to access financing, but to understand their own credit position and what support actually fits their business,” said CGCDigital CEO Yushida Husin.
By pairing CBM’s credit insights with the reach of their digital platforms, they can help more business owners see clearly where they stand and take practical steps to become financing-ready,” he added.
CBM CEO Soo Chin Kang said, “By combining CBM’s credit analytics capabilities with CGC Digital’s extensive MSME ecosystem, this collaboration reflects our shared ambition to strengthen entrepreneurship, unlock greater economic value and contribute to a more inclusive and resilient Malaysian economy.”
CGC Digital said it remains committed to serving the unserved and underserved MSME segment improving access to financing, trusted insights and practical tools that help Malaysian businesses to make informed decisions and grow with confidence.
