DNeX and Mara collaborate on AI-driven digital transformation

PETALING JAYA: Dagang NeXchange Bhd (DNeX) and Majlis Amanah Rakyat (Mara) have formed a strategic collaboration to spearhead a digital transformation driven by artificial intelligence (AI) for the Mara organisation.

The two parties formalised this partnership through a memorandum of understanding (MoU) that will establish a collaborative framework for high-impact initiatives.

DNeX IT CEO Marlishiraz Ramli said the strategic partnership with Mara is a significant milestone for DNeX.

“It underscores our commitment to leverage our expertise in digital technology and AI to not only enhance our capabilities but also to contribute meaningfully to national talent development and entrepreneurial growth.

“We look forward to a successful collaboration that will drive real-world digital transformation,” she said.

The MoU encompasses the co-creation of future-ready Mara internal talent through transformation and innovation enablement; the acceleration of AI-driven digital entrepreneurial capabilities; and the development of an expanded, next-generation digital platform for Mara.

Under the MoU, both parties will prioritise talent development and innovation empowerment by leveraging the latest AI technologies aimed at future-proofing Mara’s educational and organisational pillars and ensuring a resilient and digitally adept workforce capable of driving Mara’s long-term strategic goals.

Leveraging the latest enterprise-grade AI capabilities, DNeX and Mara intend to collaborate on the development of an AI Upskilling framework to cultivate an AI-first startup culture.

By combining skill-building services with advanced digital tools, the programme helps Mara entrepreneurs use AI as a key advantage, improve their ability to adapt in the market, and offers them the guidance, AI tools, and organised mentorship they need to grow quickly and innovate sustainably.

The MoU also outlines plans for the architecture of a unified data intelligence hub through a central, AI-native digital ecosystem designed to harmonise Mara’s data assets.

Using advanced integration and analytics technologies, this future-proofed platform will serve as the foundational engine for Mara’s digital transformation, significantly enhances data accessibility, cross-pillar unification and operational efficiency.

The collaboration, according to Shiraz, is expected to strengthen DNeX’s strategic positioning by opening access to new market segments through joint programs that support start-ups and entrepreneurs, as well as the broader national innovation ecosystem. It will also facilitate the integration of AI-driven solutions and advanced digital platforms, in line with DNeX’s wider digitalisation agenda and smart technology initiatives.

In addition, the partnership reinforces DNeX’s role as a strategic partner to key government-linked institutions such as Mara, enhancing the company’s credibility and visibility within national innovation and socio-economic development frameworks.
