KUALA LUMPUR: TechStore Bhd has secured an RM89.7 million contract from Prasarana Malaysia Bhd to upgrade the digital radio and on-board communication system for the Kelana Jaya LRT Line.
The ACE Market-listed enterprise IT services provider said the job covers the design, supply, installation, integration, testing and commissioning of a new digital radio and on-board communication system for one of the Klang Valley’s busiest rail lines.
The Kelana Jaya Line recorded annual ridership of about 84.7 million passengers in 2024, up from 73.8 million a year earlier. The upgrade is expected to enhance communication efficiency, real-time monitoring and overall operational safety.
Managing director Tan Hock Lim said the award reflects Prasarana’s confidence in TechStore’s capabilities in rail infrastructure projects.
The project is expected to be completed within 30 months from the notice to proceed.
As at Sept 30, 2025, TechStore’s unbilled order book stood at RM106.6 million, excluding the latest award, while its tender book totalled RM1.9 billion.
TechStore was listed on the ACE Market of Bursa Malaysia on Feb 18, 2025.
