Oasis Harvest to acquire 80% stake in Contagious for RM900,000

KUALA LUMPUR: Bursa Malaysia-listed Oasis Harvest Corporation Bhd has entered into a conditional share sale agreement to acquire an 80% equity interest in Contagious (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, a well-established event management and public relations agency, for RM900,000.

Upon completion, Contagious will become an 80%-owned subsidiary of Oasis Harvest, allowing the group to consolidate its financial results.

A one-year profit guarantee supports the acquisition, providing earnings visibility and demonstrating confidence in Contagious’ business performance.

Contagious is known for its track record in delivering large-scale corporate events, experiential marketing campaigns and brand activations.

Its portfolio includes notable projects such as the launch of KLIA2, Celcom’s 25th Anniversary Gala Dinner, and Tatler Ball Malaysia, with clients spanning telecommunications, aviation, and diversified conglomerates.

The acquisition represents a strategic step for Oasis Harvest as it continues to build a broader food, lifestyle and consumer engagement ecosystem, complementing its growing portfolio of F&B brands, including De.Wan 1958 by Chef Wan, Café Chef Wan, Uncle Don’s, and Verona Trattoria.

Oasis Harvest executive director Ch’ng Eu Vern said as the group scales its food and lifestyle platform, execution and brand experience become increasingly critical.

“Bringing Contagious into the group allows us to think longer-term—not just in marketing campaigns but in how we design, communicate, and deliver experiences around our brands.”

“This will be especially important as we expand our F&B footprint and deepen engagement with both corporate and consumer audiences,” he said in a statement.

The acquisition will be paid in cash, with part of the consideration deferred and tied to performance, aligning the interests of both Oasis Harvest and the vendor.

The transaction does not involve the issuance of new shares and is not expected to have a material impact on the group’s gearing.

Looking ahead, Oasis Harvest views this acquisition as part of a broader strategy to integrate complementary businesses that enhance brand visibility, operational efficiency and long-term value creation.

As Oasis Harvest continues to expand its F&B footprint, the addition of Contagious is expected to support brand-led growth, experiential dining initiatives, and lifestyle-driven engagement.

This strategic move further underscores Oasis Harvest’s commitment to building a sustainable and scalable consumer lifestyle platform, positioning the group for continued growth in Malaysia’s evolving F&B and lifestyle market.
