KUALA LUMPUR: Ping Edge Technology Bhd, an online-merge-offline (OMO) commercial foodservice and kitchen equipment supplier, launched its new flagship Kitchen Arena Experiential Centre cum headquarters in Cheras, Selangor, on January 23, 2026.
The ceremony was officiated by Deputy Minister of Digital Datuk Wilson Ugak anak Kumbong and graced by Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (Motac) secretary-general Datuk Shaharuddin Abu Sohot.
The four-storey building features two floors of customer experiential centres – the World of Oven and the Kitchen Concept Showroom.
Designed as an immersive experience centre, the facility showcases modern cooking technologies and a wide range of commercial kitchen equipment, including dry agers, dishwashers, freezers and chillers, immersion blenders, coffee machines and ice machines.
Through the Kitchen Arena Experiential Centre, Ping Edge aims to elevate its “Kitchen Arena” brand visibility and enhance customer experience by providing prospective customers the opportunity to view and assess equipment in person.
In conjunction with the opening, Ping Edge, through its wholly-owned subsidiary Ping Edge Sdn Bhd, is recognised by the Malaysia Book of Records as “The Largest
Commercial Kitchen Equipment Supplier”.
The opening ceremony also featured live cooking demonstrations showcasing advanced kitchen technologies, including combination ovens, charcoal ovens, meat-ageing fridges and robotic cooking technology.
Founded in 2015, the group is principally involved in the trading of commercial
foodservice and kitchen equipment via its proprietary digital platforms.
It operates “Kitchen Arena”, an e-commerce platform focused on new commercial kitchen
equipment, and “Murah Kitchen”, an online marketplace for pre-owned units.
These digital platforms are complemented by physical showrooms, including Kitchen 360 in Seri Kembangan and the newly launched Kitchen Arena Experiential Centre in Cheras.
With a product portfolio of more than 10,000 SKUs across 450 brands, Ping Edge
supports food entrepreneurs, chefs and hospitality professionals through its OMO
model, serving clients such as subsidiaries of MSM International Ltd, Ayam Gepuk (M) Sdn Bhd (Ayam Gepuk Pak Gembus), UR Restaurants Sdn Bhd (FUIYOH! It’s UNCLE ROGER) and Mamakim Wellness Kitchen Sdn Bhd.
Ping Edge director and CEO Ethan Choong Wai Hon said the company is the largest commercial kitchen equipment supplier in Southeast Asia, and the opening of Kitchen Arena Experiential Centre marks a significant milestone in Ping Edge’s journey to strengthen our OMO capabilities and foster stronger customer engagement.
“This facility provides an engaging space where customers can see, test and better understand the equipment that supports their daily operations.
“Notably, our World of Oven houses eight combination oven brands, providing customers with extensive choice, while underscoring our strategic focus on
automated cooking equipment and future-ready kitchen technologies, such as meat
ageing fridges.
“We believe this physical experience-driven approach complements our
digital platforms and enables us to deliver long-term value to our customers,” he said in a statement.
Choong said in conjunction with Visit Malaysia 2026, Ping Edge will highlight its upcoming sponsored Taste and Trade 360 Exhibition from November 5-7, 2026, supported by the Motac.
“A key attraction of the exhibition will be the ‘Battle of the Bots – Culinary
Edition’ competition to showcase how kitchen automation and smart cooking
technologies can enhance efficiency, consistency and innovation in modern food
operations.
“On the corporate front, we have successfully executed our expansion plan with the establishment of four new showrooms and storage facilities in Penang, Negeri Sembilan, Johor and Kelantan.
“Looking ahead, we plan to establish five additional outlets across Malaysia to further widen our footprint. This expansion will allow us to reach a broader customer base, enhance brand visibility in key regions, and further strengthen our OMO ecosystem, enabling customers to browse online while benefiting from on-ground support,” Choong said.
Ping Edge was listed on the LEAP Market of Bursa Malaysia on June 13, 2025.
