Selangor Red Giants may see roster changes for next MPL season

SRG assistant coach confirms possible lineup changes for next MPL season, with team’s future to be announced within two months.

SEPANG: Selangor Red Giants assistant coach Poon Kok Sing has confirmed the team’s roster for next season may undergo changes.

Better known as OzoraVeki, he said the future of several key players will be announced by management within the next one to two months.

“One thing for sure is that SRG will still be in the MPL ecosystem,” he told reporters at Kuala Lumpur International Airport.

“We have already secured a partnership slot. But for now, we are not sure if everyone is still with the team; we will wait for further announcements.”

He added that while most of the team would remain, the lineup might see some adjustments.

Speculation has recently surfaced regarding a potential shake-up of the SRG roster ahead of the upcoming MPL season.

The current SRG roster consists of six players: Mark Genzon Sojero Rusiana (Kramm), Muhammad Haqullah Ahmad Sharul Zaman (Sekys), Hazziq Danish Mohamad Rizwan (Stormie), John Vincent Banal (Innocent), Muhammad Qayyum Ariffin Mohd Suhairi (Yums), and Chun Chin Wee (Winter).

SRG finished the MLBB M7 World Championships in third place after falling 1-3 to Alter Ego in the lower bracket final.

That match set a new world record as the most-watched mobile esports match of all time, reaching 5.59 million Peak Concurrent Views.
