Polis Johor lupus dadah bernilai RM68.8 juta

JOHOR BAHRU: Polis Johor melupuskan pelbagai jenis dadah bernilai RM68.88 juta yang dirampas dari seluruh negeri ini sejak 2000 hingga tahun lepas.

Ketua Polis Johor Datuk M Kumar berkata dadah terbabit melibatkan 6,630 kes yang telah selesai proses prosiding mahkamah dan mendapat arahan dilupuskan.

“Kesemua kes ini telah disabitkan hukuman dan sudah melalui proses rayuan. Barang-barang yang akan dilupuskan hari ini telah selesai sepenuhnya dari sudut perundangan dan proses mahkamah.

“Ia mengambil masa lama dari tahun 2000 kerana kita perlu menunggu proses mahkamah sehingga peringkat rayuan terakhir dan ada kes yang dituduh di mahkamah dibicarakan di Mahkamah Tinggi, proses rayuan adalah sampai ke Mahkamah Persekutuan,” katanya pada sidang media di Ibu Pejabat Polis Kontinjen (IPK) Johor di sini hari ini.

Beliau berkata semua proses pelupusan itu akan dibuat di Bukit Pelanduk, Negeri Sembilan oleh Syarikat Kualiti Alam Sdn Bhd dengan membabitkan kos RM73,000.

“Proses pelupusan itu akan dikawal ketat polis pengiring bermula dari pergerakan di IPK Johor ke lokasi sehingga tamat sepenuhnya proses berkenaan hari ini,” katanya sambil menambah pelupusan itu melibatkan berat keseluruhan 989.21 kilogram (kg) dadah dan 7,479.9 liter cecair dadah.

Beliau berkata antara dadah yang dilupuskan adalah heroin seberat 53.36 kg, kanabis (19.86 kg), ketamin (45.27 kg), methamphetamine (446.21 kg), methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA) (1.16 kg) dan daun ketum (339.12 kg).

“Tahun lepas, kita telah melupuskan pelbagai jenis dadah dan peralatan berkaitan dengan nilai keseluruhan RM5.43 juta melibatkan 3,214 kes yang telah berjaya diselesaikan,” katanya.

Sementara itu, Kumar memaklumkan sejak 1 Jan hingga semalam, seramai 19,726 individu telah ditahan atas pelbagai kesalahan dadah di Johor melibatkan rampasan dadah bernilai RM58.35 juta dengan berat 5.48 tan.
