Kurangkan cukai kereta mewah guna dokumen palsu, enam individu didenda hingga RM20,000

ALOR SETAR: Enam individu masing-masing didenda antara RM5,000 hingga RM20,000 selepas mengaku bersalah di Mahkamah Sesyen di sini atas pertuduhan menggunakan dokumen palsu untuk mengurangkan cukai kereta mewah di Langkawi.

Hakim Rohatul Akmar Abdullah menjatuhkan hukuman denda RM5,000 ke atas Yeoh Ee Tat, 56, yang merupakan pemilik sebuah syarikat serta dua runner iaitu Mohd Haiqal Mohd Serbie, 33, dan Teh Wei Li, 52, membuat pengakuan itu selepas pertuduhan terhadap mereka dibacakan hari ini.

Mereka didakwa menggunakan Surat Akuan dan Borang Kastam Perisytiharan Barang-Barang Yang Diimport di Pejabat Kastam Daerah Langkawi, Dermaga Tanjung Lembung, Langkawi antara 30 Ogos 2018 hingga 1 Dis 2021 mengikut Seksyen 471 Kanun Keseksaan dan dihukum di bawah Seksyen 465 akta sama yang membawa hukuman maksimum penjara dua tahun atau denda atau kedua-duanya.

Pada prosiding hari ini, Rohatul Akmar turut menjatuhi hukuman denda RM20,000 ke atas Mohd Noh Hussain, 47; RM10,000 ke atas Mohd Khairol Suberi, 35, dan RM5,000 ke atas Fairul Ismazi Ishak, 46, yang mengaku bersalah atas kesalahan sama semalam.

Mohd Noh ialah bekas pengurus gudang manakala Mohd Khairol seorang runner dan Fairul Ismazi bekerja sendiri.

Pendakwaan dikendalikan oleh Timbalan Pendakwa Raya Suruhanjaya Pencegahan Rasuah Malaysia Mohamad Fadhly Mohd Zamry dan Mohd Afif Ali manakala kesemua tertuduh diwakili peguam Mohd Hakim Hamran. –Bernama
