Palestine congratulates Malaysia on transformative ASEAN Summit, highlighting principled diplomacy and strong support for Palestinian statehood.
KUALA LUMPUR: The Embassy of Palestine in Malaysia has congratulated the country on its outstanding success in hosting the 47th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits.
In a statement, the embassy said Malaysia’s inspiring ASEAN Chairmanship 2025 has left a transformative mark regionally and internationally.
“Malaysia’s steadfast and principled positions on regional and global matters, coupled with its inclusive and forward-looking diplomacy, have elevated ASEAN’s global standing,” the embassy stated.
The embassy particularly commended Malaysia for placing the Palestinian cause at the heart of its ASEAN agenda.
This demonstrated Malaysia’s unwavering support for the Palestinian people and the establishment of an independent, sovereign State of Palestine with East Jerusalem as its capital.
The three-day high-level regional meeting attracted more than 3,000 delegates from over 30 countries and international organisations.
The summit concluded today after showcasing Malaysia’s distinguished leadership in steering regional affairs with wisdom and innovation.
“This milestone underscores Malaysia’s exceptional vision in reinforcing ASEAN’s unity and advancing collective cooperation toward shared progress,” the embassy added. – Bernama
