A Malay woman’s simple act of kindness towards a stray dog wins hearts, showing how compassion can create meaningful bonds
A reward is not only a token of appreciation for people — sometimes, it is meant for our furry friends too.
Setting aside cultural and religious differences, kindness took centre stage when Threads user @nourellaain shared her heartwarming bond with a stray dog she befriended near her residential area.
The four-legged companion, whom she named Blacky, received a cute white stuffed toy as a reward — a small gesture that carried big meaning.
“Since 2024 until now, every time I come home late from work, it’s always been there to guide me. Today I gave it a toy as a reward. Love you, Blacky,” she wrote in her Threads post.
In the clip and photos she shared, Blacky could be seen visibly excited, happily clutching the plush toy and chewing on it.
In another moment, the dog rolled over and exposed its belly — a clear sign of trust and comfort towards her.
Many netizens commented that Blacky’s affectionate behaviour showed how deeply the dog had grown to love her, adding that such trust reflects her kind nature.
@nourellaain also revealed a sad detail: Blacky’s companions had previously been caught by the authorities, leaving the dog alone in the area.
She further shared an old video of herself feeding raw chicken to one of Blacky’s friends, Johnny, who has since been taken away. She admitted that she still misses Johnny dearly.
