Heavy Christmas crowds leave drivers stuck for hours in Bukit Bintang, with motorists urging others to avoid the area
BUKIT Bintang has turned into a major hotspot this Christmas, but it has been far from festive for drivers.
The Golden Triangle area of Kuala Lumpur has been bustling with Christmas celebrations since Christmas Eve, drawing huge crowds and triggering severe traffic congestion.

On Christmas Day, road users took to social media to issue “jam alerts”, warning others that traffic in the area had come to a complete standstill.
One user shared a photo of the situation and appealed for traffic police assistance to help ease congestion during the festive season.
Another motorist posted at 3.32pm, saying he had parked at Lot 10 shopping mall but had been stuck inside the parking facility since 1pm, unable to exit.
A separate user said she spent 45 minutes trying to leave a parking bay at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, only to give up and repark due to the gridlock.
She warned others to avoid Bukit Bintang altogether, describing the situation as “madness”.
Replying to her post, Intan shared that she had attempted to leave the area around 1pm but was still stuck by 4pm, the time she posted her comment.
