In the video, the customer in the Mercedes was seen closing the umbrella and throwing it onto the road, later nudging it closer to the shop before driving off.
A video showing a customer in a white Mercedes GLA throwing a borrowed umbrella onto the ground has gone viral.
In the two-minute clip posted on the restaurant’s Facebook page, the Mercedes could be seen parking in front of the eatery. The customer requested a boy at the shop to hand her an umbrella, which he obliged. She then purchased some items before returning to her car.

Shocking staff, the woman was seen closing the umbrella and throwing it onto the road, later nudging it closer to the shop before driving off.
In the Facebook post, the restaurant explained:
“Rainy days are difficult for everyone, and we have always done our best. Every dish is prepared with care, and we serve our customers sincerely. What saddened us was that today, your visit shattered that effort.”
They added that the young boy had gone out into the rain to help, and the customer reportedly scolded staff for not fetching the umbrella herself.
“This is not a service we provide. Our staff were busy, but we are always happy to help those who truly need assistance — like the elderly, pregnant women, or people with disabilities,” the restaurant said.
To make matters worse, the umbrella allegedly scratched a staff member’s car.
“We have always worked hard to present our best side to customers, but service has never been a one-way street. When mutual respect no longer exists, service effectively ends at that moment. We would rather save our energy for those who genuinely support us.”
The viral video has since garnered more than 1,500 comments from netizens calling her out for her behaviour.
“So disgusting. Driving a Mercedes and doesn’t even have her own umbrella, thinking she’s a princess who needs people to serve her,” said a netizen.
“Does she think driving a Mercedes makes her that important? That the whole world should revolve around her and serve her?” commented another.
