M’sian woman horrified by maid mixing dirty rag in eczema-prone son’s laundry

A Threads post about a maid allegedly mixing a dirty rag with an eczema-prone child’s laundry sparks heated online debate.

A Malaysian woman was recently horrified to discover that her maid had allegedly mixed a dirty rag with her son’s laundry.

In a Threads post, the woman claimed that her son had eczema.

She further alleged that the maid knew about her son’s skin condition.

As the post gained traction, many understood the woman’s fury; however, it also received backlash.

Numerous commenters criticised the woman for complaining about the maid, with some accusing her of using derogatory terms, while others rallied in support, pointing out that the issue was serious as it concerned her child’s health.

“It is common sense not to mix dirty rags with our clothes. You pay your maid to do these chores; it’s not as if she is working for free, so what is the point of the employer washing her own clothes if the maid can’t even do it?” one commenter noted.

“Why is everyone defending the maid for doing this? I have a child with eczema, and I have to carefully wash her clothes and bedding separately, even using a separate detergent for sensitive skin,” another said.

“Eczema is a serious health condition; any small thing can trigger a flare-up. Educate your maid about how to wash the laundry,” one user advised.
