Derrick Sim praised Anwar as “one of the BEST Prime Ministers Malaysia has seen in a long, long time.”
A Singaporean politician’s post to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has recently gone viral on Facebook after he praised Anwar as “one of the BEST Prime Ministers Malaysia has seen in a long, long time.”
In a Facebook post, Derrick Sim of the People’s Power Party shared how the Singapore Dollar was RM3.18 two weeks ago, however has dropped to RM3.15.
“If too strong, later Singaporeans come in — only order roti canai kosong and go back liao. Many of us are still very budget-conscious,” he joked.
He also inserted the quirky request: for the 78-year-old Prime Minister to “maybe lepak a bit” and not work too hard.
He ended his post telling Anwar to “take it easy.”
“Slow and steady win the race.”
The post quickly went viral, with some netizens commenting that they hope to see a stronger ringgit.
“As a Malaysian, I am looking forward to a stronger Ringgit. Even to the value SGD = RM. I hope I live long enough to see this. My soul can rest in peace,” commented Benny Ong.
“Our strong dollar still gives us more leverage. I still go to JB once a month for makan and grocery shopping despite $1 to RM3.15. On a side note, it’s good that the Malaysian economy is picking up. If they do well, then we can be happy for them also,” added David Firdaus.
