The Baby Cosmos revisit songs in a more intimate live-session format
LOCAL indie rock band The Baby Cosmos released its first acoustic project Dari Bilik Live Sessions (Acoustic).
Now streaming on Spotify and major platforms, the release follows the band’s second EP The Human Condition and presents their songs in a live-session acoustic format.
The project was mixed and produced by Rafael Muhammed of Malaysian band Teh Tarik Senja. It pares back the band’s usual alternative and indie rock textures to focus on songwriting, vocals and acoustic arrangements.
The release moves away from heavier production and gives the songs more room to breathe, with a sound shaped around acoustic performance rather than layered studio arrangements.
The Baby Cosmos are based in Kuala Lumpur and comprise lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Timothy George, lead guitarist Darrel Jacques, bassist Joseph Khoo and drummer Isra Gomez.
With the acoustic release, the band revisits its material in a more direct format while continuing the personal storytelling that has shaped its music.
