KUALA LUMPUR: The government will launch the Single Window initiative in 2024, a public delivery system with the involvement and intervention of 14 stakeholders in the country’s start-up ecosystem.

In his winding up debate on the Supply Bill 2024 for the Science, Technology and Innovation Ministry (MOSTI) in Dewan Negara today, Deputy Minister Datuk Arthur Joseph Kurup said the initiative was conceptualised with a whole of government approach by bringing together start-ups via a comprehensive and integrated coordination through 14 related agencies.

The agencies include Khazanah Nasional Bhd; ​Kumpulan Modal Perdana;​ Malaysia Debt Ventures Bhd; ​Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation; Malaysia Venture Capital Management Bhd (MAVCAP); Malaysian Industrial Development Finance Bhd ​and Malaysian Investment Development Authority.

Other stakeholders include the Malaysian Research Accelerator for Technology & Innovation; ​Malaysian Technology Development Corporation (MTDC); Penjana Kapital Sdn Bhd; ​Securities Commission Malaysia; ​SME Corporation Malaysia; ​Bumiputera Agenda Leader Unit and VentureTECH.

He said MAVCAP and the Economy Ministry are in the process of preparing paperwork to improve the venture capital fund industry and start-up companies through comprehensive intervention proposals.–Bernama
