KUALA LUMPUR: Online applications can now be made for the Maktab Rendah Sains Mara (MRSM) 2020 session for Form One and Form Four from Sept 8 until Nov 30, 2019.
In a statement issued today, the Majlis Amanah Rakyat (Mara) advised that applications be made early without waiting for the results of the Ujian Pencapaian Sekolah Rendah (UPSR) or Pentaksiran Tingkatan 3 (PT3).
“Candidates who excel academically, have a strong identity and active in co-curricular activities are urged to apply for the Sistem Pendidikan MRSM (SPMRSM).
“Mara also gives priority to students from low and middle-income families to get the best education,” the statement said.
It said MRSM’s programmes are based on the national and international curriculum which stresses discipline in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) to produce students who are holistic and possess integrity.
Five programmes are offered to Form One students in MRSM, namely the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGSCE), International Bacclaureate-Middle Year Programme (IB-MYP), the Ulul Albab Programme and the Technical Programme and the Premier Programme, while two programmes - the Premier Programme and the Special Education Programme are offered to Form Four students.
