Kelantan govt allocates RM2.7 mln for development of Gua Musang

GUA MUSANG: The Kelantan state government has allocated RM2.7 million for the development and maintenance of infrastructure and facilities in the district.

Gua Musang District Council (MDGM) president, Nik Raisnan Daud, stated that as of April this year, the council has received RM1.2 million of the allocation approved last year, aimed at implementing strategic development in the urban centre of the state’s largest district.

“We are upgrading recreational areas such as Sungai Ketil, Taman Tasik Ketitir, Dataran Dato’ Kaya Setia, and areas that are frequented by the public in the city.

“MDGM is currently providing infrastructure facilities, especially eco-tourism facilities, to attract more visitors to Gua Musang in conjunction with Visit Kelantan Year,“ he told reporters at the Hari Raya Aidilfitri and customer appreciation event at the council’s office compound in Bandar Baru today.

Nik Raisnan added that MDGM is also constructing and maintaining village roads for the local community.

“MDGM is identifying villages without street lights to provide solar lights to illuminate the surrounding areas to ensure the safety of local residents who still do not have electricity,“ he said.
