Unemployed man caught with 10gm of methamphetamine

MIRI: Police arrested an unemployed man and seized 10.34gm of methamphetamine when they raided a room in Jalan Melayu Centrepoint, here today.

Miri district police chief ACP Lim Meng Seah said the 56-year-old man was arrested at 10.45am.

“Nine packets of the drugs, worth about RM1,200, were found in a cupboard,” he said in a statement.

Lim said the suspect did not have criminal records but tested positive for methamphetamine.

The suspect is believed to have been actively distributing drugs in the Centrepoint 2 market area, he said. - Bernama
