IPOH: Police discovered a decomposing male body floating in a lake at Tasek Tiara Lake View Plaza yesterday.
Ipoh district police chief ACP Abang Zainal Abidin Abidin Ahmad confirmed receiving information about the discovery at approximately 5.40pm.
A passerby spotted the body floating near the lake bank and alerted authorities.
“Checks around the area did not reveal any signs of blood, struggle or suspicious objects around the incident location,“ he said.
Investigations also found no abandoned or suspicious vehicles in the vicinity.
Police estimate the victim had been dead for more than one day before discovery.
No signs of struggle or external wounds were found on the body during initial examination.
Authorities confirmed no identification documents were recovered from the deceased.
The case is currently classified as sudden death pending autopsy results from Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital. – Bernama
