GOF arrests two men, seizes RM622,500 worth of crude palm oil

Two men arrested for transporting 200 litres of crude palm oil without a licence; GOF seizes haul valued at RM622,500 in Seremban raid.

KUALA LUMPUR: The General Operations Force arrested two men yesterday for allegedly transporting 200 litres of crude palm oil without a valid licence.

The arrest occurred at the heavy vehicle parking area of the Seremban Rest and Service Area, northbound.

GOF 4th Battalion commander Supt Amanjit Singh said two lorries with five 1,000-litre intermediate bulk containers were also seized during the noon raid.

He said the haul, valued at RM622,500, has been handed to the Malaysian Palm Oil Board’s Central Region enforcement division.

Amanjit said the raid by GOF’s 4th Battalion (Semenyih) and 19th Battalion (Cheras) was based on intelligence from Op Taring Palma.

The case is being investigated under the Malaysian Palm Oil Board Act 1998.
