A total of 246 people receive state honours and medals from the Raja of Perlis for his 83rd birthday.
ARAU: A total of 246 people have been listed as recipients of state honours and medals from the Raja of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Jamalullail, for his 83rd birthday celebrations at Istana Arau.
The second session of the investiture ceremony took place today, with the third scheduled for July 30 at Istana Arau.
According to a Perlis state government statement, 14 people received the Darjah Seri Sirajuddin Perlis (SSP), 15 received the Darjah Ahli Mahkota Perlis (AMP), and 68 received the Pingat Mahkota Perlis (PMP). Two individuals are listed as Pingat Pekerti Terpilih (PPT) recipients, 48 as Pingat Jasa Kebaktian (PJK) recipients, 85 as Pingat Jasa Baik (PJB) recipients, and 14 as Pingat Perkhidmatan Lama (PPL) recipients.
SSP recipients include ACP Ahmad Sahrin Hussain of the Kedah Police Contingent Headquarters, Amirul Nizam Marodzi from the Selangor Meteorological Office, Mazmin Mat Akhir of the Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Library at Universiti Malaysia Perlis, Megat Mohd Noor Megat Teh, director of the Teacher Education Institute Perlis Campus, and Dr Mohamad Zamri Kamis of the Perlis State Health Department.
AMP recipients include Ahmad Tarmizi Mohd Asarani of the Kedah State Health Department, Alzafry Abu Bakar of the Rubber Industry Smallholders Development Authority (RISDA) headquarters, Azemi Zakaria of the Perlis Malaysian Armed Forces Veterans Association, and ACP Mohd Shokri Abdullah, the Padang Besar district police chief.
PMP recipients include ACP Mohd Rosli Mohd Yussoff Alfakree of the Perlis Police Contingent Headquarters; Maizura Shamsuddin, director of the Perlis Islamic Religious Affairs Department; Mohammad Afifi Othman @ Omar of the Perlis State Education Department; Mohamad Zaki Ismail of the Perlis Community Development Department; Abdul Wahid Zainal of the Perlis State Election Office; and Azizi Ahmad of the Perlis Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission.
PPT recipients are ACP Yusharifuddin Mohd Yusop, Kangar district police chief, and Major Mohammad Saifulrizal Abu of Army Headquarters.
Izuani Abdul Wahab from RTM Perlis is among the PJK recipients, while Noor Aini Hanapiah, an assistant information officer in Perlis, and Muhamad Hafiz Ab Mutalib, Perlis bureau chief of Utusan Malaysia, are among those receiving the PJB.
PPL recipients include Ahmad Ridhwan Othman from the Perlis State Department of Irrigation and Drainage and Khuzaimah Hassan from the Department of Statistics Malaysia’s Perlis office.
The statement said the honours served as recognition of the recipients’ dedication and sacrifices, and demonstrated the Raja of Perlis’ concern for the efforts of his subjects, further fostering loyalty and unity among the people of Perlis.
