A 33-year-old tower crane operator was found unconscious and later confirmed dead at a construction site in Johor Bahru.
JOHOR BAHRU: A crane operator was confirmed dead after being found unconscious inside a tower crane at a height of 45 metres at the Residensi Puncak Austin construction site.
The Tebrau Fire and Rescue Station received an emergency call about the incident at 9.51 am today.
Two Fire Rescue Tenders with 13 personnel from the Tebrau and Johor Jaya stations were deployed to the scene.

A bucket stretcher and rope set were used to establish a system to bring the victim down safely.
The victim was identified as 33-year-old Muhamad Aliff Ishak.
He was later handed over to personnel from Sultan Ismail Hospital before being confirmed dead by a medical officer.
Johor Bahru South District Police chief ACP Raub Selamat confirmed a report had been received regarding the incident.
He said the incident was reported to have occurred today at 9.18 am.
An initial examination of the victim’s body found no signs of injury or elements of crime.
Sultan Ismail Hospital confirmed that the victim died at the scene.
The body has been sent to the hospital’s Forensic Unit for a post-mortem to determine the cause of death.
The case has been classified as sudden death pending the official post-mortem report. – Bernama
