Police arrested 30 foreign workers without valid documents at a Nilai construction site in an integrated operation under Ops Pintas Mega
SEREMBAN: An integrated police operation at a construction site in Nilai resulted in the arrest of 30 illegal immigrants.
The raid was conducted yesterday by the Nilai District Police Headquarters Criminal Investigation Division under Ops Pintas Mega.
Negeri Sembilan police chief Datuk Alzafny Ahmad said 63 foreign workers were screened during the operation.
He stated that 30 men could not produce valid identification or work permits.
The group comprised 21 individuals from China, two from Bangladesh, and seven from Myanmar.
All detainees were taken to the Nilai IPD for further investigation.
Alzafny added that police are working to trace the employers and other responsible parties.
The case is being investigated under Section 6(1)(c) of the Immigration Act 1959/63.
