Decomposed body found in Bentong identified as Indonesian woman

Pahang police confirm decomposed body found in oil palm estate is Indonesian woman in her 40s, with death occurring over two weeks ago.

KUANTAN: Police have identified the decomposed body discovered beneath oil palm fronds in a Bentong estate as an Indonesian woman in her 40s.

Pahang police chief Datuk Seri Yahaya Othman confirmed the identification was made after the woman’s husband came forward this morning.

“The body underwent a post-mortem yesterday, which revealed that it had been decomposed for more than two weeks,” he said.

Yahaya stated that investigators are still working to determine the actual cause of death.

The case remains classified as a sudden death report pending further investigation at the scene.

He made these comments after officiating a rank presentation ceremony at the PDRM Logistics Complex in Alor Akar. – Bernama
