Decomposed woman’s body found under palm fronds in Telemong

Police discover decomposed female body beneath oil palm fronds at Telemong plantation, with victim’s identity yet to be established.

TELEMONG: A decomposed woman’s body was discovered beneath a pile of oil palm fronds at a plantation along Jalan Karak-Kuala Pilah yesterday.

Pahang Police chief Datuk Seri Yahaya Othman confirmed police received a public report about the discovery around 5 pm.

“Initial checks at the scene confirmed that the remains were those of a woman, but her identity has yet to be established,” he said in a statement today.

Several personal items believed to belong to the victim were found nearby, including a black hooded sweatshirt and green sports trousers.

Also recovered were a Casio wristwatch and a pair of black slippers from the scene.

The body has been transported to Tengku Ampuan Afzan Hospital in Kuantan for further examination.

Police have classified the case as sudden death pending the post-mortem report results.

Authorities are continuing investigations to determine the victim’s identity and circumstances surrounding the discovery. – Bernama
