MACC seeks woman in Albert Tei video for statement in investigation

MACC calls for woman in viral Albert Tei video to provide statement on December 1 regarding investigation involving former PM’s aide.

KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission has called for the woman linked to a viral video featuring businessman Albert Tei to provide a statement.

MACC emphasised her presence is essential to assist in the investigation involving Datuk Seri Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin, the former senior political secretary to the Prime Minister.

The commission is working to locate the woman and requests she present herself at the MACC office on December 1.

MACC has also contacted Albert Tei and requested he present himself on the same date.

The commission advised all parties to refrain from speculating on the case.

It urged the public to allow MACC to conduct a thorough and independent investigation. – Bernama
