Police investigating human skeletal remains found on LEKAS highway slope near Nilai, seeking public assistance to identify the victim.
NILAI: Bones believed to be human skeletal remains were discovered on a hill slope along the Kajang-Seremban Expressway (LEKAS) here.
The discovery was made at Kilometre 24.5 northbound of the highway by cleaning workers on November 2.
Nilai district police chief Superintendent Abdul Malik Hashim confirmed receiving a report at 11.35 am that day.
“Initial investigations at the scene uncovered a cluster of bones believed to be human,” he said in a statement.
No identification documents were found with the incomplete skeletal remains.
The victim’s identity has yet to be determined by authorities.
Abdul Malik noted that further inspection showed no signs of criminal activity at the scene.
Case exhibits have been forwarded to the forensic laboratory for analysis.
Police currently have no new leads in the investigation.
Authorities are urging those with missing family members or friends to come forward.
