A 34-year-old man wanted under SOSMA was killed in a shooting at a Klang petrol station, with police investigating multiple angles
SHAH ALAM: A man fatally shot at a petrol station in Klang last Friday was a wanted individual under the Security Offences (Special Measures) Act 2012.
Selangor police chief Datuk Shazeli Kahar confirmed the 34-year-old victim also had several prior criminal records.
He said police are investigating from various angles, considering the victim’s background.
Seven statements have been recorded from the victim’s wife, family members, and witnesses.
“The investigation is still ongoing,” Shazeli told a press conference today.
“The post-mortem has been completed, and the cause of death was determined to be multiple gunshot wounds to the chest and abdomen.”
The body has been released to the family for burial.
The shooting occurred around 11pm last Friday at a Bukit Tinggi petrol station.
A suspect reportedly fired several shots at the front of a car, striking the victim who was seated inside.
The victim was unemployed at the time of the incident. – Bernama
