Woman’s body found in bag after suspected Ampang murder

Police confirm a woman was strangled in Ampang before her body was found in a bag buried in Rembau, with two suspects remanded

SEREMBAN: Police have confirmed the discovery of a woman’s body believed to have been murdered in a house in Ampang, Selangor.

The body was later found inside a bag buried in Kampung Batu 4, Pedas in Rembau, Negeri Sembilan.

Negeri Sembilan deputy police chief SAC Muhammad Idzam Jaafar said evidence suggests the victim and a 51-year-old suspect argued before she was strangled.

“This is based on the investigation and the suspect’s statement,” he told reporters.

He stated the argument at the victim’s house was caused by financial issues, with further investigations ongoing.

Muhammad Idzam said the woman’s body has not yet been identified, and DNA sample results are pending.

The victim’s body also remains unclaimed.

Two male suspects, aged 51 and 41, have been remanded to assist the investigation under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.

Media reports indicate the woman is believed to have been dead for more than three days.

Her identity remains unknown due to the decomposed state of her remains.
