Diesel prices in Peninsular Malaysia will increase by three sen per litre, while petrol prices remain unchanged for the coming week.
KUALA LUMPUR: The retail price of diesel in Peninsular Malaysia will increase by three sen to RM2.99 per litre from Wednesday.
The Ministry of Finance confirmed the new price in a statement on Tuesday.
Prices for diesel in Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan will remain unchanged at RM2.15 per litre for the same period.
Retail prices for RON97 and RON95 petrol will also remain unchanged.
RON97 will stay at RM3.10 per litre, while RON95 will be maintained at RM2.54 per litre.
The subsidised price for RON95 under the BUDI95 initiative will also be held at RM1.99 per litre.
All prices are effective from Feb 12 to Feb 18.
“The government will continue to monitor global crude oil price trends and take appropriate measures to ensure that the welfare and well-being of the people are safeguarded,” the ministry added.
