Danger-level rain warnings issued for parts of Pahang, with severe alerts for Terengganu and Johor, as continuous downpours are forecast.
KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued continuous rain warnings at danger, severe, and alert levels for multiple states from today until tomorrow.
A danger-level warning is in effect for the Pahang districts of Kuantan, Pekan, and Rompin.
A severe-level warning is forecast for Jerantut, Maran, and Bera in Pahang; Dungun and Kemaman in Terengganu; and Segamat, Kluang, Mersing, and Kota Tinggi in Johor.
A moderate-level, or alert, warning covers the entire state of Kelantan.
The alert also applies to Besut, Setiu, Kuala Nerus, Hulu Terengganu, Kuala Terengganu, and Marang in Terengganu.
In Pahang, Cameron Highlands, Lipis, Raub, Bentong, and Temerloh are under the alert.
The warning extends to the entire state of Selangor, as well as Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya.
Negeri Sembilan and Melaka are also included in the alert-level forecast.
In Johor, the districts of Tangkak, Muar, Batu Pahat, Pontian, Kulai, and Johor Bahru are under the moderate warning.
