Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil visits Johor to launch Jelajah Ramadan 2026 and distribute Tabung Kasih@HAWANA aid to former media practitioners
JOHOR BAHRU: Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil (pic) is undertaking a working visit to Johor today. The visit aims to engage with the local community and support former media practitioners.
Fahmi began his schedule with the launch of Jelajah Ramadan 2026 at Pasar Tani Kekal Datin Halimah in Larkin. The programme is in its 14th edition.
He then attended the Hari Bersama Komuniti programme at NADI Taman Desa Belantik. This event was held at the Projek Perumahan Rakyat Sri Stulang.
In the afternoon, Fahmi presented Tabung Kasih@HAWANA contributions to two former media practitioners. The aid was given to former TV3 cameraman Idrus Rahmat in Kampung Skudai Kiri.
He also presented a contribution to former Nanyang Siang Pau journalist Low Sock Ken. This presentation took place in Taman Ungku Tun Aminah, Skudai.
The ministry stated the visit strengthens its ties with the local community. It also demonstrates concern for the welfare of media practitioners ahead of Ramadan.
