A trailer lorry crashed into a barrier on the Setiawangsa-Pantai Expressway, causing the driver and attendant to fall to their deaths.
KUALA LUMPUR: A trailer lorry driver and his attendant were killed after being thrown from an elevated expressway following a crash last night.
The Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department said the incident occurred on the Setiawangsa-Pantai Expressway near Jalan Empat off Jalan Chan Sow Lin.
It received an emergency call at 8.55pm and dispatched a team from the Pudu Fire and Rescue Station.

“Operations commander Nur Zahela Mohamad Zainal reported that upon arrival at the location, the team found that a trailer lorry had crashed into a concrete highway barrier,” the department said in a statement.
The impact caused the driver and his assistant to be thrown off the elevated roadway.
Paramedics from the Ministry of Health confirmed both men dead at the scene.
Their bodies were handed over to police for further action.
In a separate incident nearby at about the same time, a Pakistani construction worker sustained a leg injury.
The injury was caused by a crane at a construction site.
The victim received initial treatment from MOH ambulance paramedics before being taken to hospital. – Bernama
