It added that an assessment of damages is ongoing and updates will be provided as soon as possible.

The Royal Malaysia Police and relevant authorities are conducting a thorough investigation, with the cause of the fire yet to be determined.

Pentas Flora said it is cooperating fully with officials to ensure a comprehensive inquiry.

The company also apologised to nearby residents and the local community for the alarm and inconvenience caused.

It affirmed it is treating the matter with utmost seriousness and will release a report once investigations are completed.

Earlier media reports stated firefighters had put out 95% of the blaze involving four premises at the industrial area.

It was also reported that at least three people were killed, with charred bodies found during a scene inspection. – Bernama
