Mohd Khidzer noted that windstorms are common in the area, with several homes damaged by similar storms in the past.

“The incident did not result in any damage to household belongings, as there was no rain at the time,” he said.

Affected resident Muhammad Faiz Afizi Adnan, 24, said he was eating in the kitchen when startled by roof sheets being blown off.

“I rushed out of the house, fearing the situation might worsen,” he recalled, adding that 10 roof sheets had been blown away.

Another resident, Afifi Marwan Noor Zelinayadi, 32, initially thought monkeys were running on his roof.

He later realised his house roof had been lifted by the storm during the clear weather event. – Bernama
