Selangor Fire Department battles 1.2-hectare forest fire in Taman Seri Timah, Balakong using multiple appliances and volunteer teams.
BALAKONG: A forest fire has broken out in Taman Seri Timah, Balakong.
The Selangor Fire and Rescue Department received an emergency call about the incident at 7.02 pm today.
A team from the Bandar Tun Hussein Onn Fire and Rescue Station responded with 14 personnel.
They arrived at the location at 7.25 pm to begin firefighting operations.
The fire involves a forested area on a hilltop covering approximately 1.2 hectares.
Three firefighting appliances were deployed for the operation.
These include a Fire Rescue Tender, a Light Fire Rescue Tender and an Emergency Medical Rescue Services unit.
Personnel from the Seri Kembangan Fire Station also assisted in the operation.
Two volunteer fire brigades from Balakong and Serdang provided additional support.
No victims have been reported in the incident.
Firefighting efforts remain ongoing at the site. – Bernama
