MetMalaysia issues a warning of thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds affecting six states and Labuan until 9 pm.
KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning of thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds affecting six states and Labuan until 9 pm today.
MetMalaysia said in a statement this afternoon that the affected areas in Kedah are Baling, Kulim and Bandar Baharu, while in Perak, the warning covers Kerian as well as Larut, Matang and Selama.
The adverse weather is also forecast to affect Dungun and Kemaman in Terengganu, as well as Lipis in Pahang.
In Sarawak, similar conditions are expected in Kuching, Serian, Samarahan, Sri Aman, Betong, Kapit and Bukit Mabong, Bintulu, Subis, Beluru, Miri and Marudi in the Miri Division and Limbang.
In Sabah, the affected areas are expected to include the Interior (Sipitang, Kuala Penyu, Beaufort and Nabawan), the West Coast, Tawau (Tawau), Sandakan and Kudat.
