Sultan Ibrahim and UAE President Sheikh Mohamed Zayed Al Nahyan meet in Abu Dhabi, focusing on economic, investment, and defence cooperation.
KUALA LUMPUR: King of Malaysia, His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, reinforced bilateral ties during a courtesy visit to United Arab Emirates president Sheikh Mohamed Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi.
The hour-long meeting at Qasr Al Bahr Palace, yesterday paved the way for a more strategic and forward-looking partnership between the two nations.
His Majesty stated that the one-on-one discussion covered cooperation in economic, investment, and food security matters.
“We also discussed various matters, including efforts to strengthen Malaysia-UAE defence cooperation,” the King said in a post on his official Facebook page.
Sultan Ibrahim’s visit to the Ruler of Abu Dhabi is part of a special visit to the UAE undertaken at the President’s personal invitation.
The visit began yesterday, underscoring the mutual respect and ongoing diplomatic engagement between Malaysia and the UAE.
