KLIA’s runway resumes operations at 7.40 pm after safety clearance from CAAM, following a temporary closure due to an aircraft tyre burst.
SEPANG: A runway affected by an aircraft’s burst tyre at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) reopened at 7.40 pm today after receiving final safety clearance from the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM).
KLIA said posted on Facebook that flight operations on the runway have resumed and returned to normal.
Earlier, one of its three runways was temporarily closed today after an aircraft tyre burst, and the closure was initially expected to last until 9 pm as stated in its latest Notice to Airmen (NOTAM).
