The Housing Ministry has provided an additional RM40,000 to enhance facilities at a Kulai school under its Madani School Adoption programme, aiming to create a better learning environment.
KULAI: The Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT) has allocated an additional RM40,000 to upgrade facilities at Sekolah Kebangsaan Sinar Bahagia, Felda Taib Andak, under the Madani School Adoption (SAM) programme.
Its secretary-general, Datuk Dr M Noor Azman Taib, said the supplementary funding aims to enhance the programme’s overall impact on the school community.
He said the SAM programme was initially allocated RM100,000, but the amount was increased to allow for a wider scope of upgrading works.
“The CSR initiative carried out through PR1MA Corporation Malaysia and Urbanice Malaysia focuses on building maintenance as well as repairs to electrical and mechanical systems at the school’s administrative office,” he told reporters after a handing over ceremony.
“With the additional allocation, landscaping and mural painting works were also carried out.”
Noor said the programme is expected to provide students, teachers and staff with a more conducive and comfortable learning environment.
“We believe these upgrading efforts will not only enhance students’ comfort in the classroom but also contribute to educational excellence,” he said.
Previously, under the initial RM100,000 allocation, several facilities were upgraded, including repainting the school building and replacing windows.
Other works included installing a public address system and adding air-conditioning units to the teachers’ room and meeting room.
Johor Housing and Local Government Committee chairman Datuk Mohd Jafni Md Shukor, who was also present, expressed hope that such allocations would continue in the future.
“It may seem like a small amount, but the impact on our children in school is significant,” he said.
