Malaysia to join Global Sumud Flotilla 2.0 in direct support for Gaza

PM Anwar Ibrahim says the MADANI Government will directly participate in the Global Sumud Flotilla 2.0 humanitarian mission for Palestine.

KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced the MADANI Government will be directly involved in the Global Sumud Flotilla 2.0 humanitarian mission.

The mission involves participants from more than 80 countries.

Anwar said the government’s direct participation continues an international moral struggle requiring courage to uphold justice and humanitarian rights.

He stated this commitment transcends borders, race, and religion.

“God willing, we will mobilise all our efforts to assist and defend the rights of the Palestinian people,” he said in a Facebook post.

“Justice can no longer be delayed in the pursuit of a dignified and independent Palestine.”

Earlier, Anwar received a courtesy call from Sumud Nusantara Command Centre director-general Datuk Sani Araby and founder Nadir Al-Nuri at his office in Putrajaya.

He was briefed on the increasingly dire humanitarian situation in Gaza.

This stems from a prolonged aid blockade, ongoing conflict uncertainty, and continued suffering amid persistent acts of brutality.

Sani and Nadir also shared the achievements of the Sumud Nusantara mission.

They stated it successfully broke global silence and amplified Gaza’s voice on the international stage.
