KBS continues its International Youth Fund for 2026, offering up to RM20,000 grants for youth aged 18-30 to attend global forums and conferences.
KUALA LUMPUR: The Youth and Sports Ministry (KBS) will continue its International Youth Fund (IYF@KBS) programme for 2026.
The initiative supports Malaysian youth aged 18 to 30 to participate in international meetings, forums, conferences, and symposiums.
KBS stated the programme aligns with the MADANI Government’s commitment to youth internationalisation.
“Youth participation not only provides exposure to global best practices, but also opens opportunities for young people to be directly involved in discussions on global issues,” the ministry said.
It added that the effort empowers youth to help shape policy formulation at global and regional levels.
The one-off grant offers financial assistance of up to RM20,000 for each successful applicant.
Priority is given to youth active in registered associations, organisations, or clubs.
The grant covers participation fees, economy-class air tickets, meal allowances, insurance, visas, and accommodation.
Applications opened today for events occurring between 1 March and 15 November 2026.
Submissions will be accepted in four series and must be made online via the official KBS portal.
The ministry expects the programme to strengthen the youth development ecosystem and produce credible young leaders.
It aims to contribute to building a progressive and internationally competitive Malaysia.
